Spy Dialers Are a Menace – Effective Ways To Remove Them!

Spy dialers are malicious programs that get installed on your system and try to dial some telephone line somewhere, sometimes incurring you expensive phone bills.
If you would like to uninstall these programs, then many free dialer removal software are available in the market to remove dialer easily. Let us first try to understand what spy ware and spy dialers are. The spy dialers are the small programs that either change your existing Internet access telephone number or create a new Internet connection on a computer system.

The auto dialer remover sets itself as the default connection, and then uses a very expensive phone number to dial resulting in serious issues. Spy ware is software installed on your computer that tracks what you do whenever you are online surfing the Internet. Most spy ware is bungled in free software that you download from the Internet. The spy ware dialers are difficult to remove and even more difficult to prove that the spy dialers have charged you for unwanted usage and dialing porn sites. It is also difficult to differentiate the wanted and unwanted dialers.
What The Dialers Do?
In recent months, there has been a massive upsurge of people discovering dialers installed on their computer without their knowledge. The dialers call up telephone numbers in little-known countries that cost a varying amount of money per minute. In nearly all cases, the people stuck with the bill have no idea what is going on. The spyware dialers simply highjack your Internet connection and silently route you through toll numbers that can cost several dollars per minute.
How These Spyware Dialers Get Downloaded
The most common method of being infected is to not have the proper security settings in your browser. Internet Explorer is generally targeted the most by Spyware dialers and unless you have the browser's security settings configured properly, you will have a good chance of getting infected. Spyware can also be installed via programs downloaded from the Internet, through cookies when you connect to a site, or from site pop ups that ask you to install something. Dialers often piggyback on the porn Spam that plagues most e-mail in-boxes. Simply previewing the e-mail message can, in some cases, install the dialer.

The number one way to become infected with one of many dialers is through unsafe ActiveX security settings. When Internet Explorer loads a page put together by a distributor of one of these dialers, an ActiveX script is loaded which downloads and runs the program. Once it has executed on the computer, the dialer can be set to load at startup. Once loaded into memory, it can wait for the computer to be idle for a certain amount of time. When it decides that the computer has been idle long enough that everyone is either asleep or at work, it will activate the phone line and dial the expensive long distance number.
Well Known Dialers That Create Havoc
The porn dialers is a recent trick that unscrupulous porn dealers are experimenting which involves downloads to covertly install expensive dialers on an unsuspecting user’s PC that will dmatically dial for-pay porn sites, charging exorbitant fees every time they do so. Another dialer called the TIBS Dialer hijacks phone modem and redirects to pornography pay by the minute phone sites. Proclaim Dialers is another malicious program actually a collection of dialers, and a control that allows any site to install new dialers (or any other software)

Another well known dialer that causes havoc is the Trojan horse dialer typically a Windows executable program file, with an executable filename extension such as .exe, .com, .scr, .bat, or .pif. A Trojan horse may actually appear to be a useful application, which is why so many unsuspecting people download them. A Trojan horse might be disguised as a program intended to rid your computer of viruses, yet actually be used to infect your system instead. Once a Trojan horse is activated, it can access files, folders, or your entire system. Commonly, Trojans create a "backdoor" or a "trapdoor," which can be used to send your personal information to another location.

The most effective option for protecting against a Trojan dialer virus removal horse may be installing a firewall if you do not already have one. A good software firewall is usually the best type for a personal computer. It can be configured to keep intruders out while also keeping your system, or programs within your system, from sending out personal or confidential data.
